Very few things in life are better than enjoying a great bite to eat and curling up with a great book. Luckily, upcoming events are going to allow you to indulge in those blisses on Friday nights throughout September. And we have the details below.

September marks Library Card signup month, and our very own Yakima Valley Library is doing a little something-something to give the month a little more "bite"!

Why Our Public Libraries Matter

I've stated this fact so many times, but it really is true. Our libraries are one of the last precious gems we have in our communities that we should cherish and support!

Where else can you go and get the world of information, entertainment, and community, for free!?! The Library!

And all they ever ask is that you have respect for what you borrow and use, as well as the people and community involved, and that you have a Free Library card!

That's what September is all about it, getting people to get a library card, and to help that YVL is bringing Books & Bites: Free Food Fridays.

What Is Yakima Valley Library's Books & Bites?

Every Friday throughout September, you're invited to celebrate Library Card Signup Month at the Yakima Central Library (102 North 3rd Street).

Stop by the library with your library card, and get a ticket for free food at that week's food truck. If you don't have a library card, then it'll be the perfect excuse to get one!
