Earlier this week, I saw a video posted by DC Comics and thought it was really cool. They teamed up with the USO to bring some joy and comics to our troops overseas, flying out the likes of legendary comic book artist Jim Lee and Batman writer Tom King. But they didn't stop there. They took stars of DC/CW shows Nafessa Williams from "Black Lightning," Candice Patton and Danielle Panabaker, both from "The Flash," along with all sorts of DC Comics props and more to visit real-life superheroes.

My jaw dropped when I saw my buddy and local Marine who is stationed in Al Janet, Kuwait -- Cpl. Nicholas Averett in the video (below)! I reached out to him to let him know how badass I thought this was!

I got pictures with Tom King, Jim Lee, Danielle Panabaker, Candace Patton and Nafessa Williams. Jim Lee and Tom king signed one of my Batman pop figures that I had, I got all of their autographs and Jim Lee drew me a joker picture.

You can see his pictures in the gallery below. The troops got to enjoy meeting the DC Crew and partake in a Q&A session where many things were discussed, including upcoming DC Films "Wonder Woman 84" and "The New Gods," and the overall direction DC is taking with their cinematic world.

Best part of the deployment so far!

Look for my buddy on the far left at the 2:30 mark in the video below.
