A Yakima business is hoping you'll help them by donating new socks or gently used shoes for those in need in the Yakima Valley. The Good Feet Store is partnering with the Yakima Salvation Army for the shoe and socks drive.

Good feet has been helping the needy for years in the valley

The Good Feet Store donation drive started on November 21 and continues until December 31st.  Each year the store collects hundreds of items that will be given to people who go to the Salvation Army in Yakima for help.
Beth Feldman, Regional Director with the Good Feet Store says "the team at Good Feet is excited to create a positive impact within the local Yakima community and honored to partner with the Salvation Army in pursuit of their ultimate goal of doing the most good and meeting human needs in our community."
The store at 2401 S 1st Street  is located near Valley Mall, next to T-Mobile.

Many veterans need your help this holiday season so let's help!

You can also donate to help local veterans stay warm this Christmas season. Officials at the Yakima County Veterans Program are now collecting coats, socks, gloves, scarves and blankets to help keep veterans warm. Coordinator Dave Brown says every year the Yakima community steps up and helps out veterans in a variety of ways including helping to keep veterans from freezing in the cold weather.
The program is located at 223 North First Street in Yakima. You can drop off items at the office located in the former Pizza Hut restaurant building on North First Street. You can also drop off items at KIT Studios located at 4010 Summitview in Yakima.
