The old saying, "If I haven't seen, it's new to me!" is definitely the case with these chips.

I'm not even sure they're still around. My friend Gloria picked these up and gave them to my wife and I to try, and that was during the height of the holidays, so the bag got put away and forgotten.

I found them in the cupboard, and YES! Something NEW to me to try!

I love chips and I love hotdogs, seeing these made me think of a backyard barbeque! But does the taste justify the memory?

Taste Test of Big Bite Hotdog Flavored Wavy Potato Chips

I recently wrote an article about 2 great things that are terrible together. These chips might have to go on that list.

Hotdogs are great, wavy chips are great, and many times while eating hotdogs, I've enjoyed chips, so why didn't these work for me?

At first, it was fine, I got a strong hotdog taste, followed by a hint of mustard. Then, the relish aftertaste hit and hung around. I'm not a fan of pickles, so that was it for me.

But what about my wife and co-workers? A few tried this bag and gave me their takes.

2nd Opinion Taste Test of Big Bite Hotdog Flavored Wavy Potato Chips

My wife, Stephanie, tried these and gave her opinion: Not good, not terrible, and there was a strong smell of mustard and relish. She had a different aftertaste than I did, but couldn't quite nail down what it was.

"Tastes mostly like relish, but then there's a bit of an after taste I'm not crazy about. 3/10" - Stephanie

The bag came with me to the Radio station, and between 3 other taste testers, the opinions varied.

Emily, our receptionist (who is pregnant, so you know those types of cravings), could not take the smell. Ate one chip and was done.

Jack, the workhorse of our building, had a chip, then picked up the bag and continued eating.

Alvaro, a member of our sales team, liked them. Could taste the meat flavor, followed by ketchup and mustard. He said he'd love these at a barbecue!

D-Rez, fellow on-air 'jock', had one and said he tasted barbeque. He then mentioned how he had just brushed his teeth, so be warned, don't eat these chips after you brush your teeth.
