Quaker Recall Expanded Affecting WA, OR, & CA!
Last month we received notice that some of our favorite breakfast and snack foods, released by Quaker, were the subject of a recent recall affecting over 70 different products put out by the company. We now get word that the recall has expanded! Yikes!
The original recall from the Quaker Oats Company was for specific granola bars and granola cereals due to the potential of Salmonella contamination. On January 11th, Quaker announced that the recall had expanded to include additional products, namely other cereals and bars.
"This recall includes Quaker Chewy Granola Bars and Cereals, Cap’n Crunch Bars and select Cereals, Gamesa Marias Cereal, Gatorade Peanut Butter Chocolate Protein Bars, Munchies Munch Mix and Snack Boxes that include these products."

Gatorade Protein Peanut Butter Chocolate Bars
The products in question were sold online and nationwide at a variety of stores including Costco, Walmart, and Kroger (Fred Meyer) stores.
If you do have any of the Quaker products in question, DO NOT EAT them. You can return your item to the place of purchase for a refund (or visit QuakerRecallUSA.com) or safely dispose of the items, and clean any surfaces the food may have come into contact with.
Along with the announcement of the expanded recall, Quaker has made note of which products ARE NOT part of the recall. More on those items an be found here.
