Yakima Pet Rescue Needs Your Help Fostering Fur Babies

The good people at Yakima Valley Pet Rescue are asking for your help in finding temporary foster homes for dogs, cats, puppies and kittens until a permanent, loving home can be found.

In a recent post on the charitable organization's official Facebook page, the plea was put out for LOCAL families and/or homes to fill out a volunteer foster application to get in touch with their coordinator to, hopefully, be placed with a fur baby in need.

If you are concerned about the pet overpopulation in the Yakima Valley, this is a great chance to help out!

According to their website at YVPR.org, be fore a potential meet-up with a critter "an application must be filled out and accepted. We do not have a kennel facility; all of our pets are in homes, foster or otherwise. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and go into more detail before the meet and an adoption may or may not happen at that time. A meet or an adoption will take place at either our rescue facility or at a place determined by the foster home or board member and adoption coordinator."

On the site, you can preview the dogs and cats that are looking for a "furever" home. After fostering you can also permanently adopt the animal as well (adoption fees apply). If you are considered a good fit, Yakima Valley Pet Rescue typically will get back to you in 72 hours or less.
