At the end of May, I reviewed the new Doritos Baja Fiery Mango flavor.

You can read my review here, but without spoiling it for you, I learned one thing.

The word "BAJA" is the new "Western." I don't know what flavor it is supposed to be, but it wants to make my taste buds feel radical.

Well, once again, I was at the same grocery store that I bought the last ones in, my wife was not supervising me, and so I picked up the chips that are up for review today. So let's get on with it!

Doritos Taste Testing Legal Review Bla Bla Bla

As always, here's my LEGAL C.Y.A.! I'm reviewing these chips with no expectation of compensation in any form by anyone (individual or company). I purchased these chips with my own money and shared them with my friends and co-workers for their input. They have not been paid by anyone, either. This article is in NO WAY a paid advertisement for or against this or any brand of Tortilla chips or snack foods of any kind.

Taste Test of Doritos Twisted Lime

This bag of chips is a cavalcade of senses. When I opened it, the lime smell was strong—not bad. Then, I could slightly smell the hotness of the spice.

Trying it, I found the lime stronger than the lime-flavored Tostitos chips. But then the spice hit fast and hard.

It wasn't so hot that I couldn't stand it, but the mix of lime and spicy didn't do it for me.

After 5 chips, I was done. Not a fan. I think I liked the Baja Mango flavor better.

The other interesting thing about these was that they were harder than normal Doritos—not stale, but a crispier chip. I asked the other reviewers how they felt, and they agreed with me on that.

2nd Opinion Of Doritos Twisted Lime

My wife was bummed that she missed out on the last review, so she was first in line for these.

"They're not awful. I'd rather if they weren't spicy. But they taste like a spicy version of the lime Tostitos. Better than the Mango Doritos." - Stephanie (the wife).

3rd Opinion of Doritos Twisted Lime

Friend, co-worker, and fellow food eater, John Riggs, was next to try it. He's helped out with taste testing before.

Instead of going in blind (like he did last time) he asked what they were.

He really liked them. He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but they reminded him of a type of salsa that he's eaten at a Mexican restaurant.

"Gahh.... what was that place. *crunch, crunch, crunch* That's going to drive me crazy! *crunch, crunch, crunch*" - John Riggs.

So there you have it. I didn't care for them, other specialty summer Doritos (KetchupTangy BBQ, & Mustard flavors from the past) I enjoyed more.
