REVIEW: Toasted Cheese Lunchables in Yakima... YES!

I'm a fan of Lunchables! I'm even a fan of Charcuterie Boards, aka "Lunchables that have been to college."

When we had the 'Great Lunchables Scare of 2021,' I was beside myself. But they came back, and much joy was found in the land... and in the refrigerated section of the grocery stores!

My wife discovered a grilled cheese sandwich version of the boxed lunches, and we knew we had to try them!

Taste Test & Impression of Lunchables Crispy Grilled Cheesies

I was skeptical when I first saw these. Crispy in the microwave? I've had mixed results with my Hot Pockets, but I wanted to try these, so why not?

In fact, that is how they get their crispiness, much like the sleeve that Hot Pockets are kept in.

Take them out of the wrapper, leave them in the box, and pop them into the microwave!

Cooking instructions said 60 seconds. Now, mine were fully frozen before cooking, and I'm not sure about the settings on my microwave, so I had to nuke mine for about a minute and a half in total, in order to not have a frozen middle. (I know, first-world problems).

The taste... WOW! It was a great grilled cheese sandwich! The pepperoni sandwich was better than the normal grilled cheese, but that is to be expected... PEPPERONI!

My only critique of this lunchable is much the same complaint I have with every meal: "It needs More Cheese!"

It was kind of a bummer that these Lunchables did not come with a little candy or drink like some of the other variations do, but you do get two sandwiches that really impressed me.

2nd Opinion On Lunchables Crispy Grilled Cheesies

My wife bought them, so of course, she wanted one of each type of sandwich. She was blown away.

"As far as Lunchables go, I'd give it a 9 out of 10. As far as grilled cheese goes, 8 out of 10! It's buttery and crispy, but needs more cheese." - My wife.
