(VIDEO) Falling Space X Debris Seen Over PNW
I originally titled this story "Timmy's Latest UFO Sighting... Now Identified!" but, by now, everyone knows what it was, and that title is stupid. So here's my story and some amazing video to go with it! Here I am, minding my own business, driving in Sunnyside, Washington on Yakima Valley Highway, at around 9:04p on Thursday night (March 25th). I'm heading West, about to take a right on Scoon road, and out of the corner of my eye I see a weird light in the sky. At first, I thought it was a helicopter, the way the lights were shinning, although it looked pretty low for that. Then I saw the light come apart!
I immediately pulled my car over, and put on my flashers, since this is a busier road (even that late at night), I didn't want to get out of my car, so I rolled my window down, and started recording... kind of. Chubby fingers and iPhone touch screens are not the best bed fellows. I notice the phone not recording video, so I tap the screen again, and the following (below) is what I got.
At the time, I have no clue what it was. I am a believer in UFO's & alien life, but I don't jump to that conclusion (all the time). I continue driving and make my right turn on to Scoon Rd. (aka N. 1st St), a road that is much less busy, and I hop out of my car to take another look. I see nothing. Roughly a minute later, I hear what sounded like thunder to me. a couple waves of it, and I swear I can feel the ground shake. I keep my eyes to the sky, the rest of my drive home, with no further incident.
As soon as I get home, I check out the Yakima Scan Facebook Page, and BOOM (pun intended) here's what I saw:
UPDATE: There is great certainty that while Space X successfully deployed 60 Starlink Satellites on March 4th, the...
I wasn't alone in seeing it, and many of my friends & family members heard the rumble noise as well. I reached out on facebook to Jason Current of Willamina, Oregon. He captured some amazing video of the entire explosion. Check it out below!
Now we know what it was. Not UFO's, not green men, just space debris making it's re-entry. Still, it was pretty awesome. I apologize for my chubby fingers, and not getting more video of it. Thankfully Jason was there and ready with his eye to the sky!
